11.11.2008 (Munich, London, New York) - US and UK’s second largest pure mobile social network itsmy.com launches a new, easy to use and fast mobile web based messaging service. Now you can send and read your community messages with your mobile phone wherever you are. It’s free of cost in the mobile web and needs no application download.

The leading brand in mobile internet, itsmy.com, combines all key features from email, SMS and IM in its mobile social messaging service. All you have to do: surf with your mobile phone browser to: http://mobile.itsmy.com and set up your free account. Even faster: send a Picture Message (MMS) with your picture to join@itsmy.com

“If you want to be the market leader you have to support all mobile phones. This is not another ‘works only on iPhones’-application. We already connect over 3,500 different handset- and browser versions via mobile internet. Easy and device independent. This is what the market needs to bring people to mobile internet.” says Sabine Irrgang, COO of itsmy.com.

In the three month trial period before the launch the most successful features apart from sending, searching and receiving messages have been:
· Style messages with rich media features like different fonts and colours, emoticons and own pictures directly uploaded from the mobile phone memory
· Send an instant group message to every friend online
· Access to relevant conversations directly through your friends mobile page

The goal for itsmy.com is to connect friends with their mobile phones via mobile internet. And here messaging is the most important element as everybody likes getting personal messages from friends directly to the mobile phone.

A first survey among users showed that they have more fun and feel more entertained with the new service while they create, receive and read messages. The biggest advantage for community members: feeling safer and getting no spam, as there is no access from outside the community. 45% of all beta users checked their inbox more than seven times a day. What female community members liked most: write messages in pink style with cute pink emotions.

"You can now send a rich media message from wherever you are to the mobile phone of your friends wherever they are. You don’t have to remember an email address, you are not sending messages to PCs at home where quite often nobody is around anyway. That boosts activity and fun and it’s far more personal" says Antonio Vince Staybl, CEO at itsmy.com.

Jukka Saarelainen, CTO of itsmy.com, adds “Version II will be launched in early December with features like different message alert tones. But we also add a feature requested from our users: to send mobile web messages with one click out of the phonebook of your mobile.”
